Let’s kick things off in Cornwall located at the southwestern tip of England, this stunning region is home to some of the country’s most breathtaking coastline. The northern coast boasts dramatic sea cliffs, such as Godrevy Point, while the southern coast is affectionately known as the Cornish Riviera. This scenic stretch is dotted with picturesque harbor towns and villages.

With a rich history dating back to the 8th century, the island was once home to a monastery, while the castle itself has its roots in the 12th century. When the tide recedes, visitors can cross the stone causeway to explore the island. The experience is reminiscent of France’s Mont-Saint-Michel, another tidal island with similar characteristics.

Stonehenge

After exploring London, we’re going to make the pleasant two-hour drive to Wiltshire, England, home to one of the world’s most famous and mysterious ancient monuments: Stonehenge. Archaeologists believe that Stonehenge was built between 3000 and 2000 BC, with the largest stones weighing nearly 25 tons each and standing over 13 feet tall. Despite its impressive construction, the exact purpose of Stonehenge remains unclear. Theories suggest it may have served as an astronomical observatory or a sacred religious site.
